"Are you going to go to your studies today?"
"Probably not. I'm feeling a bit weird this morning."
Kaianie narrowed her eyes. She was wholly aware Acorn was making excuses, but didn't see any reason to push more than she felt respectfully obligated to.
"They're going to get suspicious one of these days, you know."
"Who, my teachers? Or my parents? Because the first probably forgets that I exist, and the second I don't even know if they exist."
Kai shrugged, and began packing up her art supplies. Acorn was a good kid, and honestly probably had her life more figured out than people would give her credit for. Probably.
"Sooo, in that case,
want to check out the new stalls over at the Unyte Center?"
"Heck yeah!"
