The lower half of Acorn's body slammed onto the floor as she scrambled to turn around, making her wince.
Hesitantly, she reached out to grab the bracelet. She knew what it was. She didn't know how it could be.
The images of the dream flooded back.
"take this, please"
This wasn't possible. None of this was. Right? Everything in her was screaming out that something was wrong, yet her hand kept reaching forward. She had to know.
"use it to find me"
Her fingers wrapped around the smooth stone of the bracelet. It was cold to the touch, yet she could feel a faint energy in it. She felt like she was falling. She was back in the dark, back on that smooth, unseeable ground. But it didn't hurt this time. This time it was just,
it was just empty.
Sad.
It was loss. Deep as she'd ever felt it.
She blinked away the tears, and refocused on her room around her. She didn't know what to do. Didn't know what it meant. But she had to tell someone.
